Why we ask
Wlbr is a registered financial service provider (FSP1012829) with anti-money-laundering obligations under NZ law. Before you can receive payments through the platform, we verify who you are - it protects every customer and seller on the platform, and it is a one-off.
If you receive payments
We verify accounts that receive payments with GBG Cloudcheck's hosted identity verification, which you complete online. We can verify you only through this online check: we can't verify you from documents instead. If the check needs a closer look, our team reviews the result. Existing accounts may be asked to verify again.
- A NZ driver licence or passport.
If you're paying
When you pay a Wlbr payment request, you complete a separate identity check at checkout, with a photo of a passport or driver licence.
If your check stays pending
If your check is taking longer than expected, contact support with your account email and we'll tell you what's outstanding.
