Wlbr is a neutral escrow agent and payments service. The deal itself is between the Buyer and the Seller, not with Wlbr.
The Buyer funds the full amount into escrow by a bank-to-bank transfer (via Akahu open banking, or by a manual bank transfer quoting the reference given) that goes straight into Wlbr's client trust account; funds are released to the Seller when the Buyer confirms.
Because payments come directly from your bank, there are no cards and no card chargebacks.
Wlbr charges a flat 1.9% + GST fee per payment. The Buyer pays it at funding, in addition to the escrow amount, and the Seller receives the full escrow amount. The fee is Wlbr's own money, is not held on trust, and is not returned automatically with a refund. No monthly or subscription fees.
Your money is held on trust in a dedicated Bank of New Zealand (BNZ) client trust account, separate from Wlbr's own operating funds, and is reconciled regularly.
Trust funds may earn interest. Wlbr retains that interest as a disclosed fee (its margin) and, by funding, you direct us to keep it - but your full principal is never reduced.
Wlbr is a registered financial service provider and a member of an approved dispute resolution scheme you can escalate to for free.
We may verify your identity and meet anti-money-laundering obligations (supervised by the Department of Internal Affairs) before you transact.
If a Buyer and Seller disagree, the affected escrow funds are paused until the dispute is resolved.
Your Consumer Guarantees Act, Fair Trading Act and Privacy Act rights are not taken away by these Terms.
